Emerging Futures’ Approach to Change Management

Emerging Futures and Dr. Deborah are equipped to facilitate your change management initiative, whether it is a cultural change, a need to envision a new way forward, implement your emerging future, or perform a complete reorganization. We have successful experience in all these areas.  

We can do simple engagements like a series of training sessions.

Or, we can become immersed into your company culture to see what needs to be transformed. We listen to what you and your staff are saying and not saying to discern what needs to happen.

Change Management (CM) is the process to transform strategies, operational procedures and practices, and systems from the current state to a people centric preferred state.

Culture

is defined as the ethos or values that hold an organization together in unity.

It’s the set of beliefs and customs (written and unspoken) that shape the behaviors of the people. In an organization, these are the defined values or guiding principles. In addition, culture can be the unspoken rules that dictate what can or cannot be done. Identifying the current and preferred cultural aspects is critical to make a change initiative successful. 

While it is important to define the values, it is more critical to spend the time to bring organizational alignment to those guiding principles. This is the challenging task. It takes discernment, time, and focus. The goal is to create a culture that encourages high performance, bi-directional trust between leaders and staff, and does not burnout the people. 

To create a unified focus, the heart responses and mindsets of the leaders and staff need to align to the organization’s culture. When the people, the organizational processes and procedures, and systems all align, then you have an organization moving as one in the same direction.
